John Robson

Host John Robson is Managing Editor at the Macdonald-Laurier Institute, a columnist with the Ottawa Citizen, a broadcaster with News Talk Radio 580 CFRA in Ottawa, and an Invited Professor at the University of Ottawa. From 2006 to 2010 he was a Policy Analyst with Breakout Educational Network.

He holds a B.A. and M.A. in history from the University of Toronto and a Ph.D in history
from the University of Texas at Austin. John was previously a Sessional Instructor/Assistant Instructor in American and Soviet history at the University of Texas at Austin, the University
of Calgary and UBC, a Policy Analyst at the Fraser Institute, a Social Policy Researcher
and Legislative Assistant with the Reform Party, and Deputy Editorial Pages Editor, then Senior Editorial Writer and Columnist at the Ottawa Citizen.

His likes include journalist and author G.K. Chesterton, Magna Carta and victory over communism. His dislikes include communism, pompous banality and hook kicks. He is married to Brigitte Pellerin.
